To take a screenshot and save it to your camera as a picture, hold the Home button and then click the sleep button. You will hear a sound like a camera shutter and you can then view the picture by clicking the "Photo" icon on your screen. You can then email that picture, assign it to a contact or use it as your wallpaper. Double tap to insert a period and spaceWhen you type message in SMS, email or Note, you probably end your sentence with a full-stop (i.e. period). Normally, you type the period by tapping “.?123″ key and then “.” key. iPhone simplifies this frequent keystroke. When you complete the sentence, just double tap SPACE button and iPhone will automatically fill a period and space for you. If this doesn’t work, you may need to enable “.” Shortcut in keyboard setting.
And remember, a letter isn't entered until you lift your finger off a key. So if you touch a wrong key by accident when typing, simply slide your finger to the one you meant to type. Let go when the correct letter or symbol appears. Although you don’t see it with your eyes, the sizes of the keys on the iPhone keyboard are changing all the time. That is, the software enlarges the “landing area” of certain keys, based on probability. For example, supposed you type “tim.” Now, the iPhone knows that no word in the language begins timw or timr—and so, invisibly, it enlarges the “landing area” of the E key, which greatly diminishes your chances of making a typo on that last letter. Using this new typing tip, you can add a period or other punctuation starting from and returning to the ABC keyboard using only one finger stroke. According to the manual, So here’s what you can do, all in one motion:
Incredibly, the ABC layout returns automatically. You’ve typed a period or a comma with one finger touch instead of three. In fact, you can type ANY of the punctuation symbols the same way. Similar approach can be used for capitalizing letters when typing. Traditionally, every time one wants to capitalize a letter, two keystrokes are required: one to enable/highlight the shift key on the keyboard (the up arrow icon), and a second to select the letter. Using the shortcut, this can be accomplished in one stroke. Using one finger, touch the shift (up arrow) key on the keyboard and do not release. Slide your finger to the letter you’d like to capitalize, and release. There you go. In one stroke, instead of two, you’ve capped a letter. So, what about contractions - words like I've, he'd, and can't? Well, you could use tap/slide, BUT there's an even easier way! Just leave out the apostrophe ( ' ). The iPhone will know what you meant and substitute the correct word WITH the apostrophe once you hit the space bar to go on. It takes a little practice to get used to leaving them out! To correct an error you made a few sentence ago, hold the keyboard with your fingertip anywhere in the text and a magnified circle appears. Without lifting your finger, drag anywhere in the text; the insertion point moves along with it. Release when the blinking line is where you want to delete or add text.
